  • AD Barnes Park, spanning 65 acres, is a haven for recreation located in the heart of south Miami-Dade County. Marlin conducted a comprehensive Boundary and Topographic Survey of the park. This survey detailed all the existing above-ground features within the project’s scope, providing a clear overview of the park’s layout and facilities.

PROJECT FACTS
  • The purpose of the effort included highlighting the importance of freight mobility in Miami-Dade County, updating the plan from 2014 to 2018, preparing a standalone application for a Countywide self-designated Freight Logistics Zone (FLZ) and to coordinate with freight stakeholders to prepare a list of freight transportation project needs for the 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). The update was guided through close coordination with a Study Advisory Team (SAT) including CSX Transportation, FDOT District 6, FEC Railroad, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE),  Miami-Dade County Aviation Department (MDAD), Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (MDDTPW) and PORTMiami. This project also included outreach to all Miami-Dade County Cities and presentations to, and input from, the TPO Freight Transportation Advisory Committee (FTAC).

  • The project consisted of the reconstruction of the existing two-lane undivided roadway to a four lane divided roadway from South of Kendall Drive to north of Tamiami Trail. Marlin Engineering conducted a comprehensive survey spanning the entire right of way, which included detailed digital terrain modeling (DTM) and provided subsurface utility exploration (SUE) services.

  • The project was a Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation (RRR) of the State Road 811 (Dixie Highway) from south of NE 26 St to south of McNab Rd in Broward County to extend the service life of the corridor.Marlin Engineering conducted a comprehensive survey spanning the entire right of way, which included detailed digital terrain modeling (DTM) and provided subsurface utility exploration (SUE) services.

PROJECT FACTS
  • The project consisted of drainage improvements, sidewalk connectivity, milling and resurfacing and pavement restoration of the roadway and replacement of existing signing and pavement markings on Nw 153 terrace and NW 152 terrace from NW 89th Ave to NW 87th Ave in Miami-Dade County. Marlin Engineering conducted a comprehensive survey spanning the entire right of way and detailed all the existing above-ground features and detailed digital terrain modeling (DTM) within the project limits.

  • The project consisted of narrowing the existing pavement on NW 60th Ave from NW 139th Street to south of Miami Lakes Drive to incorporate a shared use path (SUP) along the west side of the road.
