Traffic Engineer
MARLIN Engineering, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is seeking a Traffic Engineer for its Department of Planning, Division of Traffic, to perform the following duties and responsibilities: (1) Conduct Qualitative Assessments, Signal Warrant Analysis, Intersection Analysis, Arterial Analysis, Left turn Phase Warrant 2 Analysis, Composite Studies, Fatal Crash Reviews, Speed Zone Studies and Technical Memos; (2) Analysis of data collection, including turning movement counts (TMC), average daily traffic (ADT) counts, heavy vehicle counts, and queue length studies; (3) Conduct crash analysis for arterials and intersections; (4) Conduct traffic impact studies to assess development project’s impact on surrounding transportation network; and (5) Work collaboratively as a member of a team with other transportation professionals.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related Engineering field and a minimum of 2 years of experience developing traffic operations and safety studies, including data collection analysis, crash analysis, and projected traffic forecasts.
